About the Course
Thai Anatomy, Physiology and Diagnostics for
Advanced Thai Massage Practitioners
This 10-day training offers a unique opportunity in Europe to study the foundations of genuine Traditional Thai Massage as both a physical therapy and an aspect of Traditional Thai Medicine.
We will immerse ourselves in the anatomy, physiology and diagnostic methods of Thai medicine.
Course Modules - Benefits - Aspects
This training is not about adding more techniques to your existing repertoire.
It is about understanding how, when and precisely why to apply the techniques you already know. Of course, you will likely learn new approaches and refine your existing skills.
It is not about intuition, flow, or sacred dance.
It is about acquiring genuine medical knowledge: how to diagnose, and then how to apply Thai massage as a physical therapy.
It is not about blending Thai massage with other Asian traditions.
It is about learning the original foundations of Thai massage, as described in ancient Thai medical texts.
The training is highly recommended for advanced Thai massage practitioners, though complete beginners are also welcome for a fundamental beginnining.
Together, we will study the foundations of Thai medicine to understand how the human body and mind are viewed from its perspective:
What is the body made of?
How does it function?
What is its relationship to nature?
How does illness arise?
What are its causes?
How do we treat it?
Which therapies should be applied?
Can Thai massage help with certain conditions, and if not, why?
These crucial questions are rarely addressed in workshops worldwide.
Here, you will finally gain a comprehensive understanding of them.
To apply therapeutic methods to others, we must first experience and embody them ourselves.
For this reason, the theoretical foundations of Thai medicine will be accompanied by basic Thai Yoga (Reusi Dat Ton) exercises, allowing us to integrate theory into practice within our own bodies.
This step is essential, as Thai massage evolved directly from Reusi Dat Ton.
The third aspect of the training will be practical demonstration and instruction in authentic Thai massage techniques, with an emphasis on proper body mechanics and correct application. Today, many techniques are taught and practiced inappropriately, some with the potential to harm clients.
Thai massage is a medical practice — not a performance.
Upon successful completion of this training, you will be able to accurately diagnose a client’s condition, design the treatment tailored precisely to their needs and carry it out effectively.
All of this will be based on authentic knowledge handed down through generations.
